No. 58 - Coutellerie Du Barry - Laguiole Droit - Olive

In this video, I'm taking a look at the Laguiole Droit from Coutellerie Du Barry. The knife is made in Laguiole and is a straight Laguiole style. Compared to classic models, the lines are significantly more streamlined. The handle is made of olive wood with a typical grain and unique texture. The blade is made of 12C27 MOD steel and has a matte finish. The shape is more in line with a spearpoint geometry and thus differs from the classic yataghan blade. The spine features guilloché engraving, and the typical Laguiole bee is forged and forms part of the backspring. The workmanship is clean, the blade action is smooth, and the blade is centered. Technical specifications: Handle length: 127 mm Blade length: 108 mm Weight: approx. 98 g Steel: 12C27 MOD Construction: Slipjoint In the video, I discuss the construction, materials, and special features of this straight Laguiole model.
