Toyota Hilux Mild Hybrid - Real Life Car Review

The current generation of the Toyota Hilux is the first version of the Hilux that is available as a hybrid. A mild-hybrid to be precise. It adds a 48 volt starter-generator to the mighty 2.8 diesel that delivers 204 horsepower and an impressive 500 Nm of torque. I took the Hilux with me on a 2.500 kilometer roadtrip where I encountered some heavy, heavy snowfall. The Hilux performed above expectations, impressive for a car that is now 11 years old. And that is good news for the new Hilux, which will have the same diesel-hybrid powertrain.
