Moneta church tent collapses in storm, caused multiple injuries and a death
BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- Severe weather in Moneta resulted in multiple injuries and a person killed when an outside tent at EastLake Community Church failed. Bedford County officials say around 6:45 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, a large tent collapsed during an outdoor service at East Lake Community Church. Eleven individuals were transported to local hospitals by ambulance, while eleven others were treated at the scene for minor injuries. One person died at the scene of the collapse.
