Contributing to African Open Source Ecosystem | Aakvatech | Frappeverse Africa 2026

In this talk, the Aakvatech team presents their Tanzania-focused country specific functionality built on Frappe. They demo two fiscal compliance apps covering mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, both of which auto-submit invoices to the respective tax authorities on sales invoice submission with minimal setup. They also show a bank charges automation tool that replaces manual per-transaction journal entries with a bulk Excel upload, and two custom stock reports built for audit efficiency: a consolidated stock movement report and a reconciliation troubleshoot report that flags items reconciled too frequently. The closing segment makes the case for every country to have a pre-packaged ERPNext app covering fiscalization, taxation, payroll, chart of accounts, bank statement formats, and print formats, so that implementation becomes faster and more standardized across Africa.
