Pluto is one of the many Dwarf Planets in the Solar system and is the largest among them. Pluto was once considered as the ninth planet in our solar system. But its position had been demoted to Dwarf Planet in 2006. Pluto is about 600 crore km away from the sun. Due to this distance, it is very difficult to see Pluto from earth. So, inorder to study Pluto and its moons, NASA sent a spacecraft known as the New Horizons Space Probe in 2006. New Horizons reached Pluto in 2015, after 9 years of journey. New Horizons Probe sent us thousands of amazing images and footages of Pluto and its moons. It also found many other characteristics and features of Pluto. Since it discovery, it was considered as the ninth planet in the Solar System since 2006, when it was renowned as a Dwarf Planet. Due to its distance, we couldn't take a good quality image after its discovery. So NASA thought to sent a spacecraft to Pluto and make studies. Thus they sent New Horizons and it took so many images and it discovered so many new information about Pluto. Pluto even have an atmosphere! But that atmosphere is so much thinner than Earth's Atmosphere. Currently, New Horizons is the only spacecraft that visited Pluto. Even Voyager spacecrafts couldn't visit Pluto while exiting the Solar System. Pluto have 5 moon. Charon is the biggest one and it is about half the size of Pluto. Pluto is fully covered with Nitrogen Ice and Water Ice. Both Pluto and Charon are tidally locked each other. Among all other planets, Pluto is one of the most beautiful world in the Solar System. Pluto takes about 248 years to orbit around the Sun once. So, after it discovery, not even an year has passed in Pluto. But, it only take about 6 days to rotate on its own axis once. Pluto is located in the Kuiper Belt region. Pluto has many other celestial bodies along its orbit around the Sun. The is the main reason why Pluto is now considered as a Dwarf Planet.
