West Canada Lakes Wilderness, French Louie Loop Trail

A two-day backpacking trip into the West Canada Lakes area of the Adirondack State Park in upstate New York, totaling about 24 miles. I started the hike at a parking area known as Sled Harbor, and hiked up the old Military Road, past the Pillsbury Mountain Fire Tower trail, and then hiked the loop clockwise. I passed Pillsbury Lake, South Lake, West Canada Lake, and Cedar Lake before returning to the old Military Road trail. Temperatures ranged from the upper 40's at night to the lower 70's during the day, with spotty light rain on the first day.
