Transport of Agri Horticulture Produce using Ropeway in Hilly Areas

This video documentary showcases the mode of transportation of agriculture horticulture produce using Ropeway, a lifting device which is used to transport light loads of produce to and fro steep slopes in hilly terrains, in the State. This ropeway was constructed by the Border Area Department and funded by the Department of Agriculture, Meghalaya from the RKVY centrally sponsored scheme. This ropeway method is a labour and time saving device, which eases the transport of perishable produce from production points and villages located within deep and steep slopes.
