Amazing Wyoming: Independence Rock, the Register of the Desert
One of my travels this summer took me to Independence Rock, a beacon on the Oregon Trail, the Mormon Trail, the California Trail, and the Pony Express. The landmark is quite impressive, and vistors can still climb the rock to this day and see inscriptions from countless travelers from the 1800s. In this video I explain the significance of Independence Rock, climb to the top, and show a good number of the inscriptions from 140+ years ago. If you are planning a trip through central Wyoming, you'll want to stop and see the magnificence of Independence Rock for yourself.
