Here’s a how-to video for making the New England energy beverage of the 1800’s. The beverage is called Switchel (aka Yankee punch) is easy to make, delicious and refreshing, and consists of five ingredients: 32 ounces clean drinking water 2 TBSP Barbados Unsulfured Molasses (1/8 cup) 2 TBSP 100% Pure Dark Robust Vermont Maple Syrup -2 TBSP unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the mother (can substitute filtered apple cider vinegar) 2 generous Tsp ground ginger If molasses is not your thing, you may substitute honey for the molasses and syrup. This is a great beverage that provides potassium and a sweet/tart pick-me-up for the tired and weary worker. Switchel refreshes and tastes great!
