This thing isn't dangerous at all. Only the rider is, whether they're riding a bicycle, an e-scooter, or a truck. Driver's license, insurance, helmet, gloves, high-visibility clothing, proper lights, and a first-aid kit in the backpack are a must! PS: Dear EU, please address the homologation issue and provide reasonable solutions. Forcing everyone to ride at 25 km/h makes little sense. Responsible riders would have no problem paying higher insurance premiums, undergoing technical inspections, or meeting other requirements to legally use more capable vehicles. I am glad that the Czech Republic is still relatively reasonable about this. Not perfect, but at least they don't immediately confiscate your e-scooter simply because it exists. I do agree that for e-scooters capable of 50 km/h and above, at least an A1 motorcycle licence should be required (or equivalent for faster machines). Perhaps even a basic practical skills test on a closed course, just to make sure you're not a meerkat falling off at the first corner. 😄
