I visited Yura Beach in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, and a shrine on Hakusan Island. We walked along the seaside trail and crossed a long bridge leading from there to Hakusanjima. After climbing a long flight of stone steps, we found the shrine standing in the midst of a wonderful landscape.
