Sheepdog School chats to Neil McVicar...Dog's of our time

Sheepdog School was delighted to be able to visit Neil McVicar on his farm at Benmore in Argyll and Bute. Neil is a tremendously consistent handler having represented Scotland more than a dozen times at the International Sheepdog Trial and qualifying for the Supreme Final on half of those occasions! Neil won the Supreme Final in 2005 with Spot, last year he qualified for the final in top spot with his dog Mark. We had such a great day with Neil chatting about farming on hill ground, breeding, training and competing with Sheepdogs to the very top level. We got to see Neil run his Open dogs Pete and Mark and get a sense of the terrain they learned their work on. With lambing fast approaching this is likely our last video in the dogs of our time series for a little while.
