Puerto Montt is a vibrant port city, and serves as the capital of Chile’s Los Lagos region. Tucked away from the harsh Pacific, this town serves as a perfect place to rest, explore, and appreciate southern Chile. After spending 6 weeks in Bariloche, Argentina, we slowly made our way north to Santiago. The first stop: Puerto Montt. We had done extensive research on this town before selecting Coyhaique to stay in, and were excited to finally experience it! Although the stopover was not at all what we anticipated, it charmed us and kept us smiling for days. We love Puerto Montt, and we hope you do as well.
