𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙚 - クライマックス / (2003)

Last Maxi-single - The fog has cleared up (05.30.2003) Mist of Rouge formed in 1999. By the end of the year, the group became signed to the legendary visual label Matina, although by early 2000, Mist of Rouge's original frontman, Kaine (戒音), left. He was instantly replaced by Satsuki (皐姫), and in February of 2000, the group released its first demo, "Kyoumou Naru Kokumu (狂妄なる黒霧)". The demo had relatively poor sales, and immediately after its release, both of the group's original guitarists, Shizuna (静那) and Kumaki (阿綺) and bassist Eveki left. Eveki was replaced by Tomo (朋), although Shizuna and Kumaki were not instantly replaced. In March of 2000, Mist of Rouge released their second demo "Karei Naru Hakumu (華麗なる白霧)", which had poor sales as well. Shortly after its release, however, Eveki returned to Mist of Rouge as a support guitarist, and under this lineup, the group appeared on the "Prelude" omnibus in April of 2000. In the summer of 2000, Mist of Rouge faced yet another lineup change when original drummer Kawasu (躱迦) left. He was eventually replaced by Shion (シオン), and a second guitarist, Saki, was added to the group's lineup as well. In November of 2000, Mist of Rouge released their first single, "Tensei no Kuroi Kiri (転生の黒霧)", as well as their third demo "Saikai no Usu Hiru Kiri (再会の薄昼霧)". Both the single and the demo had poor sales as well, and it seemed that luck was not in the favor of Mist of Rouge in the slightest. The young up-and-comers continued onward, however, and in March of 2001, released their fourth demo, "Crystal Snow", which was limited to 1000 copies. Unlike their previous releases, "Crystal Snow" surprisingly had rather strong sales, although this brief stroke of luck would not continue, as Saki both left Mist of Rouge shortly after the release of "Crystal Snow", thus adding yet another lineup change to their history. Fortunately, this four-piece lineup would prove to be their final one, and in June of 2001, the group appeared on the "Through All Eternity" omnibus and also released their fifth demo, "Replica (レプリカ)", that month as well. Limited to 1000 copies, the demo soon sold out, and Mist of Rouge finally seemed to have been going in the right direction for once. The group later released their first and second mini-albums, "Trick (トリック)" and "Symphonic Colors", in August and December of 2001, with impressive sales for both releases. By the time 2002 lurked around, Mist of Rouge literally went from being one of the most obscure bands on the Matina roster, to being one of the most dominating ones in pure popularity. Mist of Rouge went on to release two more mini-albums, appeared on two more omnibuses and toured extensively throughout the majority of 2002, further fueling their popularity and indies recognition. In 2003, the group released one more demo, "Koku/Tsuya (刻/艶)" in February, appeared ont he "Matina 1997~2002" omnibus that month as well, and released one more single, "Red Tape" in April, before surprisingly announcing their official disbandment.
