"SF Silhouette," a program where Sakiko Kono, tutor for the 8th term of the Genron SF Creative Writing Course, chats about various events both inside and outside the course. In this episode, we welcome Haruna Ikezawa, (actually) a student from the 6th term, as our guest! The main topic will be Ikezawa's first collection of short stories, I Am Like a Lonely Star (Hayakawa Publishing, 2024). This book, which includes many works submitted to the Genron SF Creative Writing Course, is currently nominated for the Japan SF Award. In this episode, we will revisit Ikezawa's stories and share our enjoyment. We also hope to ask Ikezawa about episodes related to the works in the book and her memories of the SF Creative Writing Course. Haruna Ikezawa, active as a voice actress, book reviewer, essayist, and in various other fields, and known for her tremendous reading, how did she come to write novels, and how does she continue to write? Please tune in! Haruna Ikezawa Born in Greece. Voice actress, book critic, and essayist. She has appeared in numerous works as a voice actress. In addition to her serialization in "SF Magazine," she is active as a writer for various literary magazines. Her translations include Liu Cixin's *The Fire Keeper*. She served as the 20th president of the Science Fiction Writers of Japan (2020-2022). Her father is the writer Natsuki Ikezawa, and her grandfather was the writer Takehiko Fukunaga. Sakiko Kawano Author and writer. She won the 5th Genron SF Newcomer Award for her novel *Water-Soluble Dance*, which was published by Genron SF Bunko. In addition to science fiction, she writes fantasy and horror novels, opera plays, and textual criticism. She is active in a wide range of fields, including reading performances, talk show productions, and exhibition collaborations. She is an editor at the travel criticism magazine *LOCUST*.
