Govt accused of awarding security tenders to non-compliant companies

Members of the South African Cleaners Security and Allied Workers Union have been camping outside the Gauteng Health Department for over 12 weeks, after a security company contracted to the department dismissed them. The company allegedly deducted UIF from employees, but never made contributions.
