Lo-fi ambient live loop | Casio SA-2 + Loopy Pro
Live looping session with an old Casio SA-2. This cheap toy keyboard only has a built-in speaker by default, so I added an output jack to make it usable. Signal goes through a DIY stereo to mono summing box, into the iRig USB, and into Loopy Pro on the iPhone 14. From there Eventide Blackhole reverb and OtherDesertCities delay take care of turning a toy keyboard into something more lush and atmospheric. The drum pattern was built in Hammerhead and I've randomized it to keep the beat from sitting static throughout the song.
