He is an internationally recognized expert in women's urological pathologies, particularly regarding the assessment and management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. In this capacity, he was commissioned to write a ministerial report on this condition. He also chaired the AFNOR standardization committee for suburethral slings. He became a university professor in 2001 at the Pierre and Marie Curie Faculty of Medicine (Paris 6th arrondissement). In 2015, he founded the Paris Opéra Urology Center. He is a member of the French National Academy of Surgery.
