In this episode, we take you on a unique hike through one of the most beautiful trails in the Polish Pieniny Mountains. Our journey begins in a magical place — the riverside marina in Sromowce Niżne. Here, on the banks of the Dunajec River, we spend the night at one of the best spots in the entire region. Mountain views, peaceful silence, birdsong in the morning, and direct access to the trail — it's hard to leave this place... but this is exactly where our hike begins. Our first goal is Trzy Korony — one of the most iconic peaks in Poland. We take the classic route through Szopka Pass, but even getting there — via the Szopczański Gorge — is an experience: limestone cliffs, forest shadows, and the sounds of nature accompany us all the way. The view from the lookout platform on Trzy Korony is unforgettable: a stunning panorama of the Tatra Mountains, Gorce, the Dunajec Gorge, and the entire Pieniny range. But for us, that's only halfway. After descending from Trzy Korony, we don’t return the same way. We continue through Kosarzyska Pass toward Góra Zamkowa. This lesser-known part of the trail takes us through quiet forest, narrow rocky ledges, and stretches of limestone ridge. Here lie the ruins of Pieniny Castle — a mysterious place tied to the legend of Saint Kinga and her escape from Tatar invasions. The silence, the location, and the history create a truly unique atmosphere. This episode is more than just beautiful mountain views. It’s a complete story about a trail that connects a famous peak with a lesser-known, but equally fascinating destination.
