马来西亚工大 || Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING [FIRST YEAR 经验分享]

The intention of this video is to give a general guide to students who had enrolled/ interested to know more about Electrical Engineering at University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The information shared in this video was based on personal experience. 𝐀 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈'𝐦 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬: -Generally, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering took similar subjects during year 1 and 2 -During Secondary School/STPM level, the assessment is mostly exam-based, but for the University level, there are TONS of assignments, tests, and finals. ratio: (assignments : tests : final = 2 : 3 : 5 ) (varies according to subject) 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥: Tips 1: -Start studying earlier, you can refer to UTM Electrical Engineering handbook to know the subjects that you will be taking each semester https://engineering.utm.my/electrical... Some lecture slides are available at http://ocw.utm.my/ Tips 2: Focus more on 3 credit hour subject (core subject) instead of 2 credit hour subject (general subject) Tips 3: -Complete your assignment as soon as possible, DON'T TOOK TOO MUCH TIME TO COMPLETE ASSIGNMENT AND SACRIFICE YOUR STUDY TIME because test and finals took larger portion in the assessment. 𝐐 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀: Q: Which laptop should I choose? A: Don't choose Macbook, because many software that is used in this course doesn't support that. Windows are preferable. Q: laptop specs? A: RAM 8GB or above, ROM 512 GB or above, better equipped with dedicated graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. Q: what notes to keep after STPM? A: Mathematics (T), Sem 2 Physics Q: Core Subjects I took during Year 1 sem 1? A: Electrical Circuit Analysis, Programming C Techniques, Engineering Math 1 Q: Subject which you can self study first?
