On this trip, I set out beneath the shadow of Lookout Mountain in search of giant blue catfish—and what unfolded was something I won’t forget anytime soon. Dragging bait is one of the most effective techniques for targeting big blues when the current slows down, and conditions were perfect. The night started off HOT with aggressive bites, and I even managed to locate bait fish stacked up in all the right places.
