Departmental Commissioner-cum-Secretary, N. Thirumala Naik, has officially written a letter to the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education and Secondary Education, issuing a strict directive to all educational institutions. According to the official government notification (Letter No. 18344), which builds upon the previous order issued on July 8, no government or eligible aided educational institutions can collect any kind of admission fees from students under this scheme. The government has mandated a complete waiver of fees at the time of admission. Furthermore, the department has informed that a detailed, comprehensive guideline regarding the structure of this fee waiver will be released by the state government very soon.
