Animal Tissues and Types of Tissues | Epithelial, Connective, Muscular and Nervous Tissue | Sabar Kh

Animal Tissues are discussed in this video lecture. Tissue: a group of similar cells that perform a specific function is called tissue. Tissues of animals are divided into four major groups ( epithelial tissues, connective tissues, muscular tissues and nervous tissues). Epithelial Tissues: the covering and lining tissues of the body are called epithelial tissues. examples of epithelial tissues are skin, lining of buccal cavity etc. Connective Tissues: the connecting and supporting tissues of the body are called connective tissues. examples of connective tissues are tendons, ligaments, bone and blood etc. Muscular Tissues: the contracting and relaxing tissues of the body are called muscular tissues. muscular tissues are responsible for the movement of the body. examples of muscular tissues are skeletal muscles, smooth muscles and cardiac muscles.
