Hammond XK4 Demo met Dirk van der Linden

The Hammond XK-4 combines tradition with the latest digital technology. This new XK-4 brings the “king of musical instruments” to every musician in a compact and affordable package. In the XK-4, the traditional drawbar organ sound is reproduced in detail by the new MTW2 sound generator, and operation has become simpler and more intuitive thanks to an easy-to-use control panel and a color display. All this in an iconic design with warm wood-colored side panels, ensuring the full Hammond look is present. The sound generator reproduces the traditional Hammond sound with high accuracy. This new technology makes it possible to express the imperfections that give vintage Hammonds their distinctive character. Think, for example, of pitch fluctuations due to tone wheel play and volume fluctuations due to decentering. This degree of freedom to adjust your tone has never been greater, allowing you to have the B3 experience you have always wanted. The new Hammond XK-4 features a digital Leslie simulator that can very faithfully mimic the sounds of eight different Leslies. Widely known models such as the 122, 145, and 147 are included. Volume, rotation speeds, and microphone position can be adjusted as desired. Various effects can also be applied to the sound. For instance, in addition to four different types of overdrive, the XK-4 also features a tremolo, wah, compressor, phaser, flanger, chorus, and delay. Despite the digital Leslie simulator, you can of course always choose to connect a real Leslie. The 11-pin connector is therefore present, as well as line-out jacks. The XK-4 also features a USB A/B port to easily load setup using a USB stick or to use the Hammond directly as a MIDI instrument. The connection for a Half Moon switch is also present, allowing the CU-1 to be connected optionally. Want to know more about the Hammond XK-4 or buy the organ?
