MACHETE CLEARING A BAIT TRAIL. PEST CONTROL IN NEW ZEALAND/CONDOR MACHETE

A pest control trail, untraveled and unused for six years being cleared and retagged to be worked again. Although the bird life sounds vibrant and the forest is lush, the area is still inundated with rodents. The process to control the pests is simple; 1. Get the trail up to safe usable condition again, 2. Regular filling of the bait stations, 3. The rodents are attracted to the bait, eat it and die, but the system is labor intensive. It means carrying the bait through the bush and filling each station (plastic container nailed to a tree) by hand. More videos about working this trail are to follow.
