In this Beyond the Shell episode, we disassemble a top-loading washing machine. We started by disassembling the top, disconnecting the wires, and removing the top part. After that, we disassembled the drum cover and noticed that it was damaged, probably because at some point a garment got stuck between the drum cover and the drum. After removing the tank cover, the agitator was removed, providing access to the screws needed to remove the basket. After removing the basket, it's possible to access the hub (the part that connects the basket to the motor shaft). By releasing the hub, we loosened the rods that hold the tank in the cabinet, and then we turned the machine over to show the parts underneath.
