This video was filmed around January of this year. My mother was skilled at both hand-knitting and machine-knitting when she was younger, and made many sweaters and accessories for the family. However, now at 91, she rarely initiates new projects and hardly ever picks up a needle. This time, the neckline of a brand-new sweater was unraveling, so I asked her several times to mend it for me. It had been a while since she'd done needlework, but her hands seemed to remember perfectly, and the finished product was surprisingly meticulous. It just goes to show that skills acquired in the past don't easily disappear with age. Watching my mother, I was reminded not to focus only on what she can no longer do, but to appreciate the value of what remains unchanged. Honestly, she's much better than me! 😊
