VAUXHALL cars 1920s-1970s | Original Photos

Vintage & classic Vauxhalls in original (mainly black & white) images make up this collection, with cars from the 1920s (eg 30/98) through the 1950s and 1960s (Vauxhall Cresta, Wyvern, Velox, Viva etc) and into the 1970s all featuring. Have you owned any of the cars featured? Maybe you've restored one? Did you buy a Vauxhall new? Comments as always welcomed! As with Rootes Group cars, classic post-war Vauxhalls don't appear to have survived in the same numbers as comparable Fords and products from the BMC stable. Did they rust out quicker than their rivals? Did dealers throw away the spares much sooner thus making economical repair of older models impractical? Your thoughts about these older models welcome. Many of the cars featured have appeared in other compilations but I thought it high time that the period photos I have in my own collection, allied with contributions from followers of the Old Classic Car channel, should be pulled together into one location.
