One Bad Weather Call Can Break Interlagos | 6H LMGT3 Team Race (LMU)

6 hours at Interlagos with Bongo Racing in the Porsche 992 LMGT3. I’m racing with Robert Copes, so it is just the two of us handling the full race. I’ll be doing qualifying, the first stint, and then we’ll take turns from there. Practice has been good. The setup feels strong, and I’m comfortable on both dry and wet pace. That is useful, but it does not remove the main problem: the weather looks random. It might rain around halfway. It might only arrive in the final hour. That makes the tyre call the real danger. Get the timing wrong, and the whole race can fall apart fast. Interlagos is already tight and awkward for multiclass traffic. Add Hypercars, changing grip, and a two-driver strategy, and this becomes a race where patience matters more than forcing moves.
