Psychologists suggest that many times the things that can hold us back are simply roadblocks that we construct in our minds. The challenges are real, but we don’t always embrace our own creativity to deal with (and overcome) those challenges. Which is why the story of Ezra Frech and his family is so compelling. Ezra is a teenager. He is a decorated athlete. He is a compelling public speaker. He has also been missing a portion of his leg since childhood. All of these attributes combine in Ezra to demonstrate both the power of the human spirit as well as a compassion for others who might be experiencing something similar in their lives. As a direct response to Ezra’s reality, the Frech Family founded Angel City Sports as a way to create community with other people who also have physical limitations but who also love to participate in sports.
