For you have been a fortress for me and a refuge in the day of my distress. : When you read the entire chapter of Psalms 59 you will notice that David was afraid of his enemies and possibly hiding from them in the night. He hid from them but he was always aware that his enemies worked even harder against him in the darkness but then at the end he promises to praise God regardless of the dangers that larked around him. Singing makes your brain wake up and work better. What better time to direct your praises to your creator than when your mind is fresh, and immediately after the battles of the darkness? Kind David's enemies tormented him so much that he wished slow death unto them: "Do not consume them, but make them totter until they are totally consumed?" Just like David, you too can be overwhelmed by your struggles and tormentors, loosing sight of the morning praise. Remember that God's love provides equal opportunity for both the tormentor and the tormented. Therefore, leave it to God and never let a day go by without singing of God's love in the morning.
