Upgrading my Router Table Part 3 - Tabletop & Fence
This is the third episode of my Router Table Upgrade project video series. In this episode I upgrade my 32" MDF tabletop to a 42" Hevea butcherblock top. You can watch me dado in a combo Tee/Miter track, a Kreg Insert plate with twist-out collar rings and cut-in full depth tee slots for a new micro-adjusting Rockler fence. I finished the top by spraying on three coats of Minwax oil-based polyurethane for a beautiful durable finish. I used a warm-satin finish for the poly which really brought out the rich and warm tones of the Heava wood.
