Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP from Wayanad, Kerala, was disqualified as a Member of Lok Sabha following his conviction in the criminal defamation case over his 'Modi surname' remark. In a letter issued on March 24, Lok Sabha secretariat said his disqualification effective from date of his conviction March 23.
