Hong Kong With Kids: Airport to Mong Kok by Bus, Royal Plaza Hotel & Travel Mistakes

Hong Kong Airport to Mong Kok by A21 bus — is it better than the Airport Express for families? In this video, we travel from Hong Kong Airport to Royal Plaza Hotel, get lost at street level, discover the elevated walkway, and beat the hotel queue using self check-in. In this family travel vlog, we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport after a 45-minute flight delay due to bad weather and made our way to Royal Plaza Hotel in Mong Kok. Instead of taking the Airport Express train, we chose the A21 airport bus because it was much cheaper for our family. We alighted at Stop 7: Argyle Centre near Mong Kok MTR Station, but we made one big mistake — we tried to find Royal Plaza Hotel from street level. After walking around and getting confused, we realised that Mong Kok is much easier to navigate using the elevated walkway / skywalk system, especially if you are heading towards Royal Plaza Hotel and MOKO Mall. We show our real arrival experience, why we chose the airport bus over the Airport Express, how we got lost, how the elevated walkway would have helped, and how we avoided the hotel check-in queue by using the self check-in kiosk at Royal Plaza Hotel.
