Winter bathing in the "Leonardo da Vinci" pool in Bormio. (Valdidentro) Water at 37°C and surrounded by snow, pure magic. This is an open-air thermal pool made of rocks and stones that collects the thermal waters before they flow into the stream. Access is free and unrestricted, and the pool is accessible every day of the year at any time. Its location is unmarked. It is undoubtedly a magical thermal experience, particularly rewarding for visitors, especially in winter when the white snow adds a touch of magic. The water always remains clean, warm, and mineralized thanks to a constant flow that prevents the water from stagnating and pushes it into the adjacent stream. (It appears not to be the Braulio, but rather the Adda River.) The stream itself allows daredevils to alternate the warm waters of the pool with the cold mountain waters, achieving a calidarium-frigidarium effect, very similar to the classic Roman baths. The pool is sometimes quite crowded despite its capacity of about 20 people, especially during the ski season.
