JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - The investigation into the alleged corruption case involving the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, has been transferred to the Attorney General's Office. The police have named Febrie, who previously served as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, as a suspect. However, Febrie has not been detained, unlike the other suspect, Don Ritto, who is currently detained at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Detention Center. Although the case has been transferred to the Attorney General's Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has emphasized that it will supervise the investigation. Supervision by the KPK was also conveyed by Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) when announcing the formation of a Working Committee (Panja) to oversee the handling of the alleged corruption case involving the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. The Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, emphasized that the investigation will also be supervised by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Meanwhile, former KPK Chairman Abraham Samad urged the investigation to be conducted transparently and be directly monitored by the public. Former Special Crimes Director, Febrie Adriansyah, is suspected of involvement in three corruption cases: corruption involving PT Asabri and PT Krakatau Steel, and corruption in coal supplies that led to power outages in Sumatra. In this case, investigators seized evidence in the form of 74 kilograms of gold and cash estimated to be worth Rp 476 billion.
