Born from Beauty

Born from Beauty Separated long ago... wandering in the cold. Two bodies trapped... in a story we once told. I found you hiding... in a dimming world tonight. Remember it was always this dark... inside the body, out of sight. I felt the coiled charge of you... heavy in this space. Emitting its own gravity... holding me in place. It wasn’t just desire that brought me to your door... It was the quiet possibility... of something more. Let me bathe you. Let me sing to you. Let me hold the life that’s slipping through. We were born from beauty... hunted in the night! Risking ourselves completely just to feel the bite. We return to one life... skin against the skin. Where the loneliness ends... and you begin. They say beauty is only beautiful outside itself... But tonight I want you... and nobody else. A person beside a person... breathing in the dark. Leaving behind a beautifully devastated mark. I won’t other my sadness, I won’t push it away. Just like I hold onto happiness, I’ll let the shadows stay. We try to preserve it... this fragile beating chest. Even when we know... there is no eternal rest. So let me caress you. This is the attempt... of two bodies to return to one. After the hiding. After the run. A person beside a person... inside a single life. That’s called parataxis. That’s the edge of the knife! Holding me in place. Always this dark inside... But we returned to one life. You returned to me. That's called the future.
