FIRST ALERT: Winter storm to hit the Las Vegas Valley Thursday & Friday
A winter storm is set to bring widespread rain, mountain snow, and gusty winds to Southern Nevada, prompting First Alert weather days on Thursday and Friday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Spring Mountains from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m. Friday. Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon could see 1 to 2 feet of fresh snow, with strong winds creating hazardous travel conditions Thursday and Friday. Rainfall totals across the Las Vegas Valley are expected to range from 0.50” to 0.75” by Friday. Slick roads Thursday evening and during Friday morning’s commute are expected 🌦🌨🚗
