These tracks are from the Ragtime Festival CD recorded 11th June 1979 The Bill Armstrong Collection BAC -08-2. The band personnel: Lew Green Jnr, cnt; Tom Bartlett, tbn; Kim Cusack, clt; John Cooper, p and celeste; Jack Kuncl, bjo; Mike Walbridge tu; Wayne Jones, d. Vocalist Carol Leigh is on other tracks on the CD. The music speaks for itself and the tunes need no introduction of course (but it is good to hear such a wonderful interpretation of Turk Murphy's Bay City). The Original Salty Dogs were formed way back in 1947 at Purdue University, and their long and colourful story is told in the February 26 2021 issue of the Syncopated times by band member Tom Bartlett with Bob Lord.
