26043 Final Running Day Cab Ride at the Great Central Railway in 4K. Class 26 Rythmic Sulzer Sounds!

Class 26 Sulzer 26043 was on it's final running day at the Great Central Railway and HellfireTV was there to catch it, filming a cab ride as well as onboard the train, "Behind the Engine" Normally based at the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway, this beautifully refurbished diesel loco, was making it's last runs after staying for a few weeks, before returning home to its owning group the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group. Simon Townsend instrumental in bringing the loco back to life, with with many volunteers was our driver today. You'll see the blood, sweat and tears were worthwhile, as it had been enjoyed by so many visitors to the GCR. One of our runs was paired with 27056 a Class 27 also in BR blue and yellow with it's white adorned "Royal" stripe embellishment, on the day driven by Michael Cort. As a pair they gleamed in the Summer sun through the Leicestershire countryside on the only Preserved Mainline Railway in the Country. The rythmic beat of these "Baby Sulzers" is quite something and to the preservationists we can still enjoy them. This Great Central Railway Sulzer Day was a huge success with other Sulzers, D123 & D6535, working an intensive timetable. A thoroughly enjoyable day out!
