This season we're doing the electrical installation of a commercial warehouse used for storing various types of materials. In the first episode we showed how the first technical visit to the site went, we talked to the client about their preferences and prepared a technical drawing of the service to be done. After client approval, we purchased all the material, and in the second episode we showed the delivery and explained the reasons for using aluminum cables to power this warehouse! In today's lesson, we'll show you how the structure to support the aluminum cables on the client's poles was assembled, and we'll explain step-by-step all the details of this type of service, from cable routing to securing everything. I promise there's a lot of good stuff to learn in today's lesson! Guys, as you saw in the first episode, I said that due to the various materials inside the warehouse, it would be impossible to do the lighting infrastructure using scaffolding or even a lifting platform; we would need to do everything on the ladder. The real issue there is the height, on average 6 to 7 meters, so I ordered new ladders for the company. Check out their arrival and then we'll head to the construction site! Okay everyone, so far everything's going well on the job. The team took a break for lunch, but so far they've pulled 120 meters of cable, finishing 4 poles. Initially they started pulling the cable by hand, using the technique of securing the pulley to the ground as Charles taught, but then they needed to use this thing here, the Tirfor, which is basically a ratchet that helps with cable tension. Look how they did that part! Well folks, now back to me! It was actually planned to finish running the aluminum cable on the first day, but we had a huge unforeseen problem that ended up halting the work in the afternoon. One of the poles was smaller, and they placed it right in the middle of the truck crossing. Check out Brener's account! Well, my friends, the day is over, but the work is far from finished. Unfortunately, this unforeseen event delayed us by almost a day, but the advantage is that the team has already started the internal infrastructure of the warehouses. Since we divided the episodes by work phase, I'll now show you the second day, after the concrete dried and the pole is ready for the cables to run. Check out how it went. We opted to use galvanized conduits and surface-mounted PVC panels.
