For years, many people said that electric cars didn't require any maintenance. This is not true. But now the opposite extreme is starting to appear, treating an electric car as if it were a combustion engine car without an exhaust. The reduction gear of an electric car can have fluid, yes. This fluid has an important function, yes. But that doesn't mean all electric cars need to have their fluid changed at 50,000, 60,000, or 100,000 km just because someone mentioned viscosity, dark oil, or metal shavings. In this video, I explain the difference between real maintenance and invented services, why the manufacturer's maintenance plan matters, the risk of tampering with components still under warranty, and when it makes sense to analyze or replace the transfer case fluid. The idea is simple: maintenance yes, fear, and invented services, no.
