Windbreaks: The Unsung Heroes of Agroforestry Systems
"Windbreaks: The Unsung Heroes of Agroforestry Systems" is the second video of a four-part weekly series of webinars for the 37th Kemptville Winter Woodlot Conference (2024). In the pursuit of farm productivity and efficiencies, some landowners see windbreaks and fencerows as the villain. But removing windbreaks and fencerows from the agricultural landscape comes with consequences. This presentation examines these consequences and look into the multiple benefits that windbreaks provide. In addition, we look into planning tools and funding sources that can assist landowners in establishing treed windbreaks. Join us next week for "Hemlock Woolly Adelgid - Hemlock Management" with Ken Elliott, R.P.F. Click here to register: https://www.ontariowoodlot.com/event-...
