Aranessa Vampire Coast guide playthrough immortal empires campaign
I have put hundreds of hours into the Aranessa Vampire Coast Immortal Empires campaign. In this video I examine 3 diffrent playthroughs and provide a guide on the starting 15 turns. I had tons of issues with the recordings I took and then loads of editing issues with this video. Hopefully the aspect ratio and quality are ok for you to watch, but I apologise for the lack of 4k quality and weird aspect ratio or zoomed out footage. INCOME CALCULATION DETAILS: Income difference calculations were done from turn 15 which is where the playthroughs first started to divide. The initial 15 turns of any income were ignored in all the calculations including any gold earned from trading settlements. The income from Sartosa and the two starting provinces on the mainland are ignored as all three playthroughs had the same territories. See question 2 below for why I decided to do this. In the Occupy playthrough all income gained from building income beyond the Sartosa region was calculated on top of all other gains from sea locations, winning all fights, trade and so on. The main difference for the occupy playthrough are those additional early provinces that were gained and were not gained in the other two playthroughs. The Pirate Cove income calculations were done the same but included loot and establish pirate coves plus Pirate Cove income obviously, as that was the main differential for that playthrough, and I also included when raided races paid for peace. The sea location focus playthrough income was purely done with income from sea locations. It never includes any kills/ransom that were not sea locations, never includes building, trade, peace or any gold gained from any diplomacy action. Purely, sea location kills/ransom, the bonus if any offered on completion and the Aranessa 7k bonus. The cove income playthrough with charts at around 14 minutes mark. Cove creation cost did not include coves for additional heroes, the cost only includes the physical amount of gold spent on making coves that produce income, this was done as it is the main differential, additional hero coves are a requirement in all three playthroughs. The coves that generate income were the difference. Raze gold difference is due to the fact when you loot/establish a pirate cove you get less money than if you simply looted or razed. The reason it is not a flat 50% difference is because at points I could sack for the full amount and then create the cove after because I had enough movement to do so. NOTE* In the video I keep saying income in the charts, but it is not really income. It is gold gained. This is due to the first 15 turns of income being ignored in all charts. The starting provinces income being ignored, and in the sea location farming playthrough, all income was ignored, only sea location gold gains were taken into account for any of charts shown, I should have used better language. QUESTIONS: Q1 – Does your sea location farming lord also raid settlements whilst doing sea locations? Thinking about the one going around the Elf island. A1 – I don’t do this because you don’t want the computer to jump out and destroy your sea farming lord. The sea farming needs to be efficient, it becomes a real pain if you are trying to dodge Bretonia, the Elves, Morathi or all of them! Q2 – Why did you not work out the true difference in incomes between the games? A2 – I had already recorded the entire sea location farming game and edited a whole ton of footage without checking building income each turn. It was not in my original plan that I was going to compare it to other runs. When I decided to compare to different runs I planned the other two recordings better, checking pirate cove or building income at the end of each turn. This is why the Sea location game only includes numbers for sea locations. Q3 – Did you use a mod to auto count the income gained? A3 – I wish! I manually put all the numbers into Excel. The Occupy game I made sure at the end of each turn I scrolled through all the provinces and had that on recording, this then allowed me to go back and tally up all the numbers, minus Sartosa and the other two Sartosa mainland settlements to get the totals for each turn. Q4 – How much have you played the Aranessa campaign? A4 – For VC I have done Cylostra about 6 times. Luthor and Noctilus twice. But Once I tried Aranessa I didn’t look back. I have probably messed around with her campaign for at least 300 hours, maybe a lot more... Min maxing the start, trying Raze campaigns, cove campaigns, occupy campaigns mixes of them all and finally settling on the sea location farming campaign as the one that always has the best outcomes. 0:00 Intro 0:36 Starting Guide 14:14 Sea location campaign
