Comment ne pas se perdre dans la quête de soi ?

For the past fifteen years or so, yoga, Buddhism, and alternative spiritualities have presented themselves as obvious solutions for feeling better, healing, and healing. But behind the soothing narrative of well-being, these idealized practices also serve to neutralize criticism and mask power dynamics. Why do these non-Western spiritualities attract us so much today? How can we explain the silence surrounding the abuses and excesses within these circles? And how can we reconcile spiritual seeking with social engagement? To discuss these questions, Camille Teste interviews Élodie Emery, journalist and author. She co-authored, with Wandrille Lanos, the investigative work Buddhism: The Law of Silence (https://www.editions-jclattes.fr/livr..., which was released as a documentary on Arte and as a book published by JC Lattès (2022).
