How A Drone Assisted Fairfield Firefighters

-#Fairfield CT--Assistant Fire Chief Christopher Tracy of the Fairfield Fire Department took time out his busy schedule to tell us how a drone assisted them in fighting the lumberyard fire Wednesday. Bridgeport Firefighter Keith Muratori (Rescue 5) has assisted firefighters in Bridgeport and neighboring towns with his drone to give firefighters a real time assessment of a fire's progress from above. In this instance the quonset hut style warehouses were abandoned and firefighters only attempted an exterior attack so as not to risk their well being. The aerial footage provided incident commander and firefighters in real time where hot spots were, if their streams were being effective or if they resources should be directed elsewhere.
