The figure may seem surprising given its little media coverage: one in ten residents of Marseille is from the Comoros archipelago. The Comorians of Marseille constitute a discreet community, yet one that embraces its culture as one of the city's essential components. This year, for example, for the first time, the Marseille International Fair honored the Comoros. At the heart of this community, we followed Maliza Said Soilihi, a four-year-old who proudly proclaims her origins. But Maliza is also an elected official of the Republic: a municipal councilor for the Republicans and delegate for digital information, the young graduate of the ENA (National School of Administration) bridges the gap between this little-known Marseille community and the institutions of the Republic.
