Also present were Police General Korachai Klaiklung, Deputy Commissioner General; Police General Samran Nualma, Deputy Commissioner General; Police General Itthipol Achariyapradit, Inspector General of the Royal Thai Police; Police Lieutenant General Somprasong Yenthuam, Assistant Commissioner General; Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police; Police Lieutenant General Rungroj Thakoonpunyasiri, Commissioner of the Border Patrol Police; Deputy Commissioners of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police; and Police Major General Surapong Thaiprasert, Commander of the Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Bureau. The commanders of Metropolitan Police Divisions 1-9, the Metropolitan Police Investigation Division, the Traffic Police Division, the Metropolitan Police Headquarters' Administrative Division, the Special Operations Division, the Anti-Crime Division, the Police Training Center, and other police officers under the Metropolitan Police Bureau, along with deputy commanders and superintendents of 88 police stations, and members of the Metropolitan Police Wives' Club, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of His Royal Highness Prince Krisadabhinithan, Krom Phra Naresuanrit, and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Protectors and Servants of the People. A ceremony was also held to present plaques of honor to outstanding citizens in various fields and to outstanding citizens who assisted the police in performing their duties. Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam said that since the establishment of the Metropolitan Police Bureau on December 24, 1922, the BMPC has been responsible for the protection and security of the Royal Family, as well as maintaining peace and order for the public. Now, celebrating its 103rd anniversary, the BMPC aims to honor the highest standards, and also to commemorate the police officers who have sacrificed their lives and those who have served in the Metropolitan Police Bureau's missions. He pledged to continue performing his duties to the best of his ability.
