The real test of the Fuji Hill Climb was right before the finish line. After climbing for over 20km, would I still have energy left? Or would I falter here? This time, I deliberately focused on just the last 6 minutes before the finish line. You might think, "Only 6 minutes," but the section before the finish line of the Fuji Hill Climb is crucial, with seemingly flat sections and inclines that require subtle pedaling to make progress. If you don't have energy left by this point, you'll falter at the end. Conversely, if you have even a little energy left, you can gain time here. In other words, I believe these last 6 minutes are where your riding style, pacing, and mental strength all come into play. Can I surpass my performance from last year? Can I push myself to the very end? This is the real 6 minutes before the finish line of the Fuji Hill Climb for a 58-year-old housewife.
