Artist Talk: Jacqueline Humphries

Jacqueline Humphries was born in New Orleans, in 1960, and lives and works in New York. Her paintings draw on various traditions of abstraction including gestural and geometric, hard-edge styles. Her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, and Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven, Germany. GrassRoots TV is the country’s first and oldest community cable television station.
